The lever feels solid the moment you grab it, not that hollow builder-grade stuff. Knowing it's ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 gives me confidence it'll hold up in a busy hallway.

Swapped out the builder-grade levers in my rental units for these and the difference in heft is immediate — the mechanism feels solid with zero wobble after a few months of daily use. Being rated Grade 2 gives me confidence they'll hold up to tenant abuse better than the cheap ones I kept replacing.

The ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 rating is the reason I went with these, and they feel solid every time I open the door. The lever action is smooth and there's zero wobble, which is more than I can say for the cheap ones they replaced.
